1 Samuel 14 talks about Jonathan undertaking a battle that would look pretty silly to most people. He was seriously outnumbered and at a geographical disadvantage. If he chose to stand and fight, trusting that the Lord would deliver him, his only supporter (in the flesh) would be his armor bearer. Nonetheless, Jonathan chose to fight and his armor bearer chose to stand with him when many would have fled or surrendered out of fear. Some people are really blessed to have someone who will stand with them in righteous choices regardless of what it costs them personally. Others have to stand alone. I'm trying to be the kind of person who will stand even if it means that I have to stand all by myself.
